GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Family members of Hillary Hynes announced her death on Saturday.

Hynes worked for Alachua County Animal Services for over 20 years and started the Paws on Parole program, which pairs adoptable dogs with inmates who train them.

Hynes formerly had a segment on WCJB TV20 called: Adopt-A-Pet, where she showcased pets up for adoption every Thursday morning.

Hynes battled health issues, but her work with animals in Alachua County may never be forgotten.

Her family says they will share more in the coming days.
