SAGINAW, MI — Fans packed into the stands as Swan Valley hosted Ogemaw Heights in the Division 5 high school regional football championship on Saturday, Nov. 15.

The game began as a close fight between both teams, with Ogemaw Heights taking a narrow 6-0 lead by the end of the first quarter after a missed PAT.

The second quarter proved to be equally as tough for both teams, with Ogemaw Heights only scoring one additional touchdown to end the first half 12-0 after a failed two-point conversion.

With Ogemaw Heights’ run-heavy offense eating up the clock and wearing down their defense, Swan Valley had to come back with an answer in the second half.

As both teams entered back to the field, Ogemaw Heights continued their powerful running and hard-hitting defense.
