An update has emerged about Joshua Zirkzee's future at Manchester United amid continued speculation as the January transfer window approaches.

United signed Zirkzee from Bologna in the summer of 2024 in a deal worth €42.5million (£37.5m). The Netherlands international moved to Old Trafford after being signed by former manager Erik ten Hag , but Zirkzee has found game time difficult to come by since Ruben Amorim's appointment 12 months ago.

Zirkzee has made just five appearances for United so far this season, four of which have come in the Premier League , and he is yet to score his first goal of the campaign.
