PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Sources close to Chris Dudley told FOX 12 on Saturday that the former Trail Blazers player was considering a second run for Oregon governor.
Dudley is a former Blazers center and a 16-year NBA veteran. According to his foundation website, he played for the Blazers from 1993 to 1997, and then again from 2001 to 2003. During his career, he also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns.
According to his foundation website, Dudley started the Chris Dudley Foundation in 1994 to help people living with diabetes, as he himself was diagnosed with Type 1 at age 16:
According to sources, Dudley is concerned about issues around Oregon’s education system, addiction treatment services, homelessness and businesses leaving the state.
