MADISON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - The Madison County Sheriff’s office has confirmed explosions heard in Madison County on Saturday were caused by Tannerite explosions.
North Zulch Volunteer Fire Department has also confirmed that the explosions did not cause any fires, releasing this statement:
“Those of you in our territory, may have felt or heard shock waves from some small explosions or blasts in the past hour or two
These were reportedly caused by individuals using tannerite, a pressure sensitive compound that is available to the general public.
The sheriffs department is aware. The fire department was not involved nor requested to respond to the location of the blasts. Madison County dispatch is actually reporting that it’s coming from an address over near Greenbrier north of Madison
