LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — On Saturday in Luzerne County , the Jenkins Township Fire Department held a special community benefit to support Emmett Thomas, a paramedic who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.
Folks showed up to the benefit and enjoyed some local food and raffle baskets.

I mean they've been tremendous, uh, a lot of uh generous donations made this all come together again. We can't put, there's so many people that you can name, I can't even name, but so many people that are involved."
All of the money raised will go towards Thomas to help with medical and living expenses.
