A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Saturday at 6:20 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 7 p.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie as well as Crawford County.
Wind gusts of up to 40 mph and marble-sized hail (0.5 inches) are foreseen.
"At 6:19 p.m., Doppler radar tracked strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles north of Conneaut to 11 miles southeast of Ashtabula to 6 miles southeast of Orwell. Movement was east at 65 mph," adds the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible."
