VIVIAN, La. - An outpouring of grief and support blanketed the Vivian community after the loss of a Vivian police officer Saturday evening.

A candlelight vigil was held for officer Marc Brock, 25, who fell in the line of duty Friday after serving a search warrant on the 1700 block of North Pine Street in Vivian.

Brock was shot at through the door of a residence by Nicholas Alexander, 58, who was wanted for cyber stalking. He was rushed to North Caddo Medical Center and died of his injuries an hour after the shooting.

Friends, family and loved ones came together in the Vivian square to honor Brock with memories, laughs and moments of silence.
