FARGO — Axel Lofgren was the shootout hero for the Fargo Force on Saturday in a 4-3 win over the Youngstown Phantoms at Scheels Arena.

Lofgren scored in the fifth round of the penalty session to lift the Force to a weekend sweep before 4,318 fans.

Youngstown's Ryan Rucinski beat Force netminder Alan Lendak in the first frame of the shootout before Lendak stopped the remaining four Phantoms players to step up to the plate. Lendak finished the game with 24 saves on 27 shots.

Brooks Cullen, Graham Jones and Eero Butella scored the regulation goals for Fargo, all of which came in the second period. Cullen led all Force skaters with a 2-point night after also tallying an assist on Butella's goal.
