CLEVELAND — A Cleveland community is stepping up to support four children who lost both of their parents in a crash in late August.
Police say Donald and Maria Nunney were driving with two of their children when Donald suffered a heart attack behind the wheel. The crash killed both parents and seriously injured the two children who were in the vehicle. All four children are now being cared for by relatives as they continue recovering.
On Saturday, Ferguson Home filled with supporters donating money, supplies and time to help the family rebuild.
“This situation has really impacted everyone on a personal level because we are someone’s child or parents or sibling,” said close family friend Desiree Miller, who helped organize the fundraiser.
