On Sunday at 12:37 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory valid from 10 a.m. until Monday 7 p.m. for Lewis County.

The weather service says to be ready for, "Total snow accumulations 4 to 7 inches across higher terrain, but less than 2 inches across lower elevations. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will produce some blowing and drifting snow in open areas."

"Travel will be difficult with snow covered roads and reduced visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening commutes," comments the weather service. "Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving."
