On Sunday at 1:04 a.m. the National Weather Service released a winter storm warning valid from 10 a.m. until Monday 7 p.m. for St. Lawrence County.
The weather service states to anticipate, "Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches."
"Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes," explains the weather service. "If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency Snowfall amounts will be dependent on elevation with more snow expected across higher terrain.
