Upstate driver hit and killed while trying to turn left

OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. —

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after a driver was killed in a crash Saturday afternoon.

South Carolina Highway Patrol says two pickup trucks — a Chevy and a Ford —were driving down U.S. 76 around 12:45 p.m. Saturday. We're told the Chevy slowed down to turn left and the Ford crashed into it.

Troopers tell us the Chevy's driver died. The Ford's driver was not injured.

The Oconee County Coroner has not released that driver's name yet.
