Glasgow’s fried-food loving social media star Dazza has teamed up with the Scottish Fish and Chip Awards for a special fry-off at one of Scotland’s most iconic chip shops.
Looking to recognise the quirky deep-fried menu items created by chippies all over Scotland – beyond the classic Mars bar of course – awards director Warren Paul came up with the idea for the Dazza Does It Fry? award.
The hotly contested final saw entrants from across Scotland compete at a secret fry-off at the iconic Blue Lagoon in Glasgow, chosen to mark the 50th year of the famous night time favourite, with nine chefs cooking up a storm for judge Dazza.
The finalists and their dishes were:
The Kraken Chippy, East Kilbride - Salt and chilli crunch that comes with a curry base, cheese and homemade salt chilli chips
