ROCHESTER HILLS, MI -- The blues, purples, reds and greens of 1.5 million light bulbs will illuminate a quaint downtown in Metro Detroit this holiday season.

Months in the making, the Big, Bright Light Show in Downtown Rochester Hills stretches the holiday spirit down Main Street.

All those bulbs will turn on at once to start the season 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24.

The glimmering spectacle continues every night 5 p.m. to midnight until Jan. 18.

The bright lights draw in 1.5 million visitors to the small downtown each season, according to the Rochester Downtown Development Authority.

Lights line 121 buildings down Main Street making a stroll or drive through downtown Rochester feel like a scene out of a Hallmark Christmas movie.
