Alton Towers Smiler crash victim says 'everything was taken away' from her View 3 Images

A woman who had her legs crushed after Alton Towers' Smiler attraction crashed, forcing an amputation of her left leg above the knee at 17 years old, says "everything was taken away from me".

Leah Washington-Pugh was on a date with her now-husband Joe Pugh, aged 18 at the time, on June 2, 2015, when the nightmare unfolded at the Staffordshire theme park, injuring 16 people in total, with five people seriously hurt, two of whom required leg amputations.
