Oxford County councillors have begun deliberations for the county’s 2026 budget.
An official 2026 business plan and budget draft overview, which includes a five per cent average increase in property taxes for Woodstock residents and a 5.1 percent average increase for homeowners in Blandford-Blenheim, East Zorra-Tavistock, Ingersoll, Norwich, South-West Oxford, Tillsonburg and Zorra, was provided Nov. 12 to county councillors.

The official budget will be decided by council during a pair of special meetings the first was held Nov. 13 and the second is scheduled for Nov. 24, with the final document expected to be confirmed at council’s December 10 meeting.
