FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — One person is dead and another is in custody after a shooting in Franklin Township early Sunday morning, according to the police department.

Lt. Dave Ratliff told 10TV officers were sent to an apartment in the 300 block of Sherwood Forest East, near Westport Road, around 3:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Ratliff said the suspect turned themselves in at Columbus Police headquarters before officers went to the scene.
