A mass shooting in Newark left two people killed, including an 10-year-old boy, and three others injured Saturday night, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The office said Newark Police were called to the scene at the 300 block of Chancellor Ave. around 7:00 p.m. Saturday. A 21-year-old woman was also killed in the shooting. The woman and the boy were pronounced dead at University Hospital.

Another boy, age 11, was injured, along with two men, a 19-year-old and a 60-year-old. Police said they are in stable condition.

Officials said the investigation into the incident is ongoing and no arrests have been made as of Sunday morning.
