Five people have died in a two-car road crash outside Dundalk, Co Louth on Saturday night, Irish police have confirmed.
Three men and two women aged in their 20s have died, with Superintendent Charlie Armstrong, from Dundalk garda station, saying all five young people were in the same vehicle.
Another man in the Volswagen Golf, also in his 20s, has been rushed to hospital for treatment.

The traffic collision took place on the L3168 just outside Dundalk, with police now investigating the circumstances that led to it.
