SAN LEON, Texas - There is currently an ongoing fire at a decommissioned electrical plant near San Leon, 5500 block of TX-146, adjacent to 29th and Ave J, in Galveston County.

According to the Kemah Police Department, there are two cooling towers and power lines on fire.

The smoke is trailing in a northern direction.

All residents are asked to avoid the area and take precautions not to expose themselves to the smoke.
