A group of family-owned grocers operating Foodtown and Brooklyn Harvest Market stores across the borough have teamed up with City Harvest and the New York Daily News for a holiday food drive running through Dec. 25.
Donation tables will be set up at the entrances of ten participating supermarkets, where shoppers can find suggestions for non-perishable food items. Customers are encouraged to purchase groceries for donation, contribute extra items during checkout, or bring food from home to place in the collection bins.
