MEDFORD, Ore. — Discussions at the Medford City Council November 12 meeting around the proposed Creekside Quarter development in downtown Medford included drafting a roadmap and public outreach on funding.
The council envisages that the Creekside Quarter development will include a proposed professional baseball stadium on the north portion of the site, a regional conference and event center, a hotel, and other private commercial uses on the west side of Hawthorne Park.
City staff are targeting an estimated $60 million, including contributions from both the City and the team. Earlier this month, voters approved increasing the City’s transient lodging tax (TLT) from 11% to 13% to help fund the regional conference and event center portion.
