Police have made an arrest after a man was left in a critical condition in an alleged attack outside a business premises in a lane in Moray.

Emergency services were called to a report of a disturbance on Harrow Inn Close, near the High Street in Elgin , where two men were involved in an altercation.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene after the alarm was raised at around 3.15pm on Friday, November 14.

Officers from Police Sco tland said that a 55-year-old man was rushed to hospital after being "seriously assaulted".
