FORT WORTH, Texas — A man who allegedly assaulted a hotel employee who denied him a room was arrested Sunday after a SWAT standoff, police said.
Officers responded to a shooting call early Sunday morning at a hotel located at 5201 Endicott Ave., Fort Worth police said in a press release.
Officers found that a potential patron had argued with a hotel employee outside the building, police said. The argument stemmed from the suspect being denied a room at the hotel, the release states.
The suspect allegedly began hitting the employee with a handgun, police said.
The employee fled to the hotel and the suspect left the scene, police said. Later, the suspect was taken into custody by SWAT officers on Loving Avenue, near the Fort Worth Stockyards.
