FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Less than a month after it went on the market, the former ‘Freeland Mansion’ is now under contract, and an offer has been accepted.
The property, listed at $6.75 million, became part of Fort Wayne after entrepreneur Dick Freeland and his wife Deanna moved to the city and opened their first Pizza Hut franchise.
Construction for the 39,000-square-foot home began in 1995, on a 50-acre site on the corner of Liberty Mills and West Hamilton Roads in southwest Fort Wayne.
The home features eight bedrooms, nine full baths, six half baths, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a formal dining room and living room, an expansive family room, a two-story library, an all-glass conservatory, a wine cellar, and more all overlooking a seven-acre lake.
