WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A woman who lives in Westminster spent her summer on the move, pushing through pain to inspire others.

"Two-thousand miles in 90 days. That's about 23 miles a day," Suzan Brydon said. "It's always gonna hurt at some level, but it's about what you choose to do with that."

For so long, Brydon's feet felt more comfortable on close-by trails. But this kind of exercise used to be her punchline.

"I always hated running, and I always said I would not run unless a T. rex was chasing me down the road, but I came to love running," she said. "I've run several 100s, a couple of 200s, and now this 2,000-mile adventure."

Now, she's set a new race for herself, with the goal of running across the Midwest.

"My family thinks it's amazing and crazy," Brydon said.
