DALLAS, Texas — The search for a Dallas attorney missing near the Appalachian Trail is stretching into another day in the rugged mountains of North Georgia.
Charles Hosch, 67, was last seen on Nov. 11 at the Reece Trailhead in Union County. His daughter, Julia, has been on site as helicopters, canines and drone teams sweep the area.
“Pretty much all day, helicopters, canines and drone teams,” Julia Hosch said, describing an effort that’s now drawn volunteers from around the country.
More than 50 people are working the steep, heavily forested trails on foot.
Hosch has deep ties to the area, and his family says he knows it well.
“He has been on this trail since he was an Eagle Scout, and knows it very well,” Julia said.
