The representatives from the protesting members of the Dehradun Bar Association met chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday under the leadership of Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal. During the meeting at the CM residence, the lawyers presented their demands regarding land allocation at the district court complex. The lawyers stated that the existing land at the court complex on Haridwar Road is insufficient for the large number of lawyers and support staff working there. They have been protesting for over a week, including holding a sit-in and street demonstrations, against the proposed construction of a Rain Basera in the complex. They claimed that the proposed construction will further limit the already scarce space and affect their ability to perform
