In view of ensuring maximum security at public places like railway stations in Uttarakhand, the Inspector General of Police (Railways) Sunil Kumar Meena instructed coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to deploy escort duty on as many trains as possible. He conducted a review of crime and administrative work at the Government Railway Police (GRP) headquarters in Haridwar and held a conference with officers and staff on Sunday. During the meeting, Meena directed all station in-charges to organise workshops in coordination with border GRP units and ensure daily updates on the portal. He emphasised timely disposal of investigations pending for over 60 days and the identification of unknown bodies through fingerprint matching with missing pers
