A former Patriots cornerback played a big role in New England’s rival securing a win in Madrid.
Jack Jones intercepted Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota on first-and-10 in overtime, which led to the game-winning 29-yard field goal.
The Commanders have now lost six straight games, while Miami has won three of its last four.
Jones signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins in the offseason after spending the last two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. Prior to that, Jones spent his first two NFL seasons with the New England Patriots.
The talented cornerback was drafted by New England in the fourth round of the 2022 draft.
In June 2023 Jones was arrested at Logan Airport on a slew of weapon charges after two firearms in his carry-on luggage were discovered.
