PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and return man Ke’Shawn Williams is out for the rest of the game and is now in concussion protocol.
The injury occurred on the opening kickoff where Williams was picked up and slammed into the ground. He went into the blue medical tent after the play and was checked by the independent neurologist before being led out of the tent without his helmet and into the locker room.
As a result, he will not return. Calvin Austin III will take over as the punt returner and cornerback D’Shawn Jamison will be the kick returner with Williams now down for the rest of the game.
