LEAGUE CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- A standoff between officers and an armed man inside a home with children ended peacefully, the League City Police Department said.
League City officials said they responded to a call about a disturbance and reports of gunshots being heard shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 2200 block of Golden Sails Drive.
When they arrived, officers said they spoke with a woman who said her husband was inside the home with their five children and had fired a shot outside during an argument.
Officers said they then saw the man briefly come out holding a child, with a pistol holstered on his right hip. They added that he did not follow the officers' commands and went back inside.
