JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Jackson State University’s lethal trio in the backfield led the way on Saturday, eclipsing 350 rushing yards to secure the Tigers’ eighth win of the season and defeating Bethune-Cookman 28-13.
Ahmad Miller, Donerio Davenport, and Travis Terrell Jr. all rushed for over 100 rushing yards against the Wildcats, finishing with 360 rushing yards as a team.
Miller led the team with 118 yards on 22 carries.
Davenport finished with 106 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.
Terrell Jr. finished with 103 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.
Jared Lockhart also tallied 33 yards on the ground.
On the second play from scrimmage, Lockhart found Jameel Gardner Jr. deep down the field for an 83-yard touchdown reception to take the early lead.
