Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie didn’t address receiver A.J. Brown’s social media complaints behind closed doors.
Lurie and the disgruntled veteran had a 10-minute meeting on the field during Thursday’s practice to work through Brown’s public frustration over his role in Philadelphia’s offense, a senior team official told ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio .
Brown promised Lurie that he would stop complaining on social media — but also made it clear that he wants to be a part of the offense and is frustrated.
Lurie told Brown that he didn’t need to apologize and they hugged before the three-time Pro Bowl wideout returned to practice.
“It was a very amicable meeting,” Paolantonio said during ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” ahead of the Eagles-Lions game on Sunday. “A.J. Brown was contrite.”
