Surprise City Hall is displaying a new exhibit of artwork from a group called ArtTHENA!, an eclectic group of female artists who produce a wide range of work.
Art lovers can see the works at City Hall, 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays through Friday, Dec. 19, excluding holidays.
The West Valley Arts Council selects rotating art displays and some permanent pieces of the city’s art collection located in the lobby, hallway and courtyard.
ArtTHENA! originated about 10 years ago when founder, Randy Zucker, started it with a small group of artistic women in her women. It has now grown to about 100 members.
Several types of mediums were used to create the artwork in the exhibit, including acrylic, watercolor and photography.
