A Kitchener man is facing several charges related to an ongoing drug investigation.

Waterloo Regional Police said officers began the investigation in September, and identified a suspect in a drug trafficking operation across the region.

On Friday, police served a search warrant on vehicles and a residence in connection to the investigation, and arrested a 23-year-old man.

Officers also seized suspected cocaine, a large amount of currency and other evidence.

The man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of fail to comply with judicial release, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777.
