The Laos hostel that is believed to have served drinks laced with methanol to guests, killing six including two Australians, is set to reopen under a new name.
It’s almost been one year since Melbourne teenagers Holly Morton-Bowles and Bianca Jones died after consuming drinks containing the deadly alcohol while staying in Vang Vieng.

The 19-year-olds had been staying at the Nana Backpackers Hostel when they fell ill in November 2024 alongside four other tourists.
The hostel was closed following the tragedy, and 11 hotel staff and management were taken into police custody.
At the time the Laotian government vowed to “bring the perpetrators to justice in accordance with the law”, however no charges have been filed and offic
