BAY CITY, MI -- Kevin Frederick’s time at the helm of the Bay City Central football program appears to be done.

The Bay City Public Schools administration team decided not to retain Frederick as head coach, first-year superintendent Grant Hegenauer confirmed Sunday when contacted by MLive.

Hegenauer said Frederick has 10 days to appeal the decision, meaning the official process is on-going. Frederick said he has not yet decided if he will appeal.

“Obviously, having the struggles we’ve had, I thought there would be more dialog on how to fix things,” Frederick said. “But some people believe going in a different direction is the best move for Central.
