OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - This marks the second year that Run Your Race has hosted this event.

Saturday saw a 5K, 10K, and a half marathon, with a 50K and a marathon on Sunday.

Officials say they almost doubled attendance from their inaugural race, having 238 participants, up from just over 100.

They say a lot goes into an event like this, and they have gotten a lot of positive feedback from participants.

“It is really amazing. The athletes, the volunteers. We’ve gotten so much positive feedback from athletes. They like our music, and love our volunteers.

Those volunteers, helping to bring life to an event that saves many runners hours of travel.
