EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Officials say a mother was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing into a shed with her child in the car Saturday night.
According to the Evansville Police Department, officers were called around 11:00 p.m. to the 500 block of Jackson Avenue when a woman crashed into a shed and it was “on top of the car.”
They say the woman, identified as 33-year-old Katy Spencer, called dispatch and told them she had been arguing with her young child and was not paying attention.
Officer on scene reported the shed was hit at a high rate of speed after Spencer allegedly failed to stop at a nearby stop sign, hit a curb, went airborne and hit the shed.
They say after approaching Spencer, it seemed like she was under the influence.
