Michelin North America is highlighting the importance of vehicle safety as it marks National Check Your Wipers Day on November 16. This day, proclaimed by the National Day Calendar, encourages drivers to ensure their wipers are in good condition, especially as winter approaches.

Tom Gepenna from Michelin emphasized the significance of checking wipers. "It's the perfect time to think about wiper conditions as we head into the winter months," Gepenna said.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, 24 percent of accidents are weather-related, underscoring the need for functional wipers during rainy conditions.

Drivers are encouraged to participate by visiting a local car parts store or inspecting their wipers to ensure they're prepared for wet weather.
