TEMPE, Ariz. — A crash related to the Ironman race in Tempe was reported on Sunday, the city's police department said.

Police told 12News that there was a crash between a car and a bicyclist occurred that was "related to the Ironman." The bicyclist was a participant in the race.

Tempe police say the crash had "minimal impact" on the race, and the Salt River Police Department is the investigating agency.

No life-threatening injuries were reported, police said.

No other details were given.
