PHOENIX — Two people have been taken to the hospital after a hit-and-run vehicle crashed into two semi-trucks in Phoenix on Monday morning, according to officials.

The hit-and-run crash occurred around 4 a.m. along Interstate 10.

Arizona DPS said the hit-and-run vehicle was then involved in another crash at 75th Avenue and Van Buren Street, in the Phoenix Police Department's jurisdiction.

When 12News reached out to Phoenix police, they said when they responded to the scene, one of the vehicles had caught fire. Three vehicles were reportedly involved: an SUV and two semi-trucks. The SUV driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and one of the semi-truck drivers was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures, according to police.
