Los Angeles Rams punter Ethan Evans performed, and we exaggerate not, the greatest punt in league history during Sunday’s thrilling home win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Trailing 21-19 with first place in the NFC West on the line, Seattle’s defense forced the Rams to punt the ball away with just under two minutes remaining. Sean McVay sent out Ethan Evans to try and pin Seattle deep.
What followed was the best punt in league history:
Sam Darnold actually put Seattle in a position to win by setting up veteran kicker Jason Myers for a 61-yard field goal attempt. Myers missed way right, however, and the Rams barely held on for a two-point win:
