SC: Search ongoing for a man after an attack with a machete, deputies say

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. —

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who allegedly attacked people with a machete Sunday evening.

Deputies say they are searching Dillon Drive after Greenville County Communications received a 911 call, around 5:30 p.m., in reference to a disturbance between four individuals that resulted in an assault.

Upon deputies' arrival, they say three victims were located, and two of the three victims were transported to the hospital due to injuries sustained from a machete that was used by the suspect during the assault.

Deputies say the suspect, an adult male, has been identified and deputies on scene are actively searching for him. They say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this point in time.
