RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. —
The city of Rancho Cordova will review a proposal to offer up to $25,000 in Measure R sales tax funding to help attract more family entertainment venues and restaurants. City leaders say the incentive is aimed at drawing new businesses and supporting continued economic growth.
Rancho Cordova is the fifth-fastest-growing city in California among communities with populations over 30,000.
Families say the growth has increased the need for more local entertainment options.
“It would be nice if we had more options,” longtime resident Debbie Godinez said.
City Councilmember Joe Little said the city is considering a retail incentive program to keep residents spending locally.
