The suspect who was killed in a shootout that injured four law enforcement officers in rural Kansas has been identified as a 22-year-old man — whose grandfather was also hurt in the melee, according to authorities.
The Osage County Sheriff’s Office and Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a family’s rural farmhouse for a “domestic disturbance” in Carbondale around 10:24 a.m. Saturday, after a woman at the home called 911, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation said in a statement.
