Shubman Gill has been discharged from the hospital as India continue to deal with the fallout of the Eden Gardens defeat. The Indian captain just batted three balls before a neck spasm ruled him out of India's 30-run loss on Sunday. The 26-year-old remains some way short of full fitness and remains a doubt for the Guwahati Test starting Saturday.
Gill was rushed to the hospital on Day 2 of the Eden Gardens. BCCI on Day 3 confirmed he would play no further part in the Test. As reported earlier, the Indian captain was in the ICU as a precautionary measure given the delicate nature of the injury.
