PHILADELPHIA. (WILX) - The Philadelphia Eagles took down the Detroit Lions 16-9 on Sunday Night Football to give Detroit its fourth loss of the season.
The Eagles received the opening kickoff and punted on their first drive. Philadelphia got it right back when Jordan Davis tipped a Jared Goff pass to Cooper DeJean for the interception.
Detroit would hold Philly to a field goal as the Eagles took a 3-0 lead. Both teams would then punt on their following drives.
The Lions thought about going for it on fourth down but instead took a delay of game, and Jack Fox put Philly back on its own 15-yard line.
The Eagles took that 3-0 lead to the second quarter and punted on their first drive. Detroit tried going for it on fourth down at midfield, and Jahmyr Gibbs was stuffed to turn it over on dow
